How can we help you?
Do I have to vaccinate my African grey or follow any kind of periodic treatment?
Do I have to vaccinate my African grey or follow any kind of periodic treatment?
We do not consider it necessary to systematically follow any vaccination program or to carry out preventive treatments. However, some preventive procedures may be indicated depending on the special circumstances of the animal’s environment. The recommended preventive procedures, if the circumstances justify it, are coprologies (detection of parasites in feces) and the control of the general state of health, which is normally carried out by means of a simple blood test. More complex or extensive determinations will only be necessary when abnormal symptoms are observed or when the bird is old.
