This product may be offered exclusively or as a complement to several psittacine birds of medium and large-sized species.

It can be offered as needed to the genera Ara, Psittacus and Poicephalus. It is especially recommended for stages when the parrots have greater nutritional needs (young parrots, parrots with nutritional deficiencies, etc.). It is recommended to restrict the amount in species that tend to gain weight such as those in the genera Amazona, Cacatua, Psittacula, Eclectus, etc.

This extruded formula is very palatable and has a high nutritional value. In addition, it has been formulated paying special attention to the profile of fatty acids and the contribution of Omega 6 and Omega 3.

It is formulated to constitute 100 % of the parrot’s diet. However, it is interesting to provide fresh fruit and vegetables in order to give variety to the diet. In this case Omega formula should constitute no less than 70-80 % of the total intake (except in the case of Eclectus parrots which need a lot of sweet fruit).

Daily intake varies between 5 and 10 % of the animal’s body weight. Environmental conditions, especially temperature, influence consumption very significantly. Medium-sized species (such as the African grey parrot) consume between 25 and 45 g per day.
