Although it can be supplied dry, it has been specially designed to be hydrated. When wet, the technology used allows the pellet to maintain the shape of the kibbles; it doesn’t become pasty. It can be mixed in salads and chops to balance the nutritional contribution of vegetables and fruits.

It can be supplied as a complete food to small and medium-sized psittacine birds (such as Agapornis, Forpus, Pyrrhuras, Kakarikis, etc). As it is a complete feed, there are no consumption restrictions and it can be fed ad libitum.

During the breeding season it can be supplied hydrated mixed with the Eggfood, as a wet base. The daily consumption of dry pellets can vary between 10 and 18% of the animal’s weight, depending on the species and the environmental temperature.

HOW TO PREPARE THEM

It is easily prepared in a very short time. Pour the Microspheres in a bowl, add the amount of water indicated below (it can be cold water!), let them stand for 15 minutes, fluff them and they are ready to serve.

– If they are to be supplied alone, the proportions in volume are: 2 parts Microspheres + 1 part water.

– If vegetables and fruits are to be added: 2 parts Microspheres + 1.5/2 parts water + vegetables.

- If you use vegetables or fruits that give off a lot of liquid, you probably do not need to prepare the Microspheres with water as they will hydrate with the water from the fruits and vegetables themselves.

– If Eggfood and vegetables are to be added: 2 parts Microspheres + 1.5/2 parts water + vegetables + 0.5/1 parts Eggfood. More or less Eggfood should be added depending on the final morbidity of the mixture. Birds like moist food but not pasty or lumpy textures.

We recommend that small psittacine birds fed with Microspheres always have Silex Grit at their disposal. This sand will favor the correct functioning of the gizzard and the digestive system in general.
